New Congestion Charge Rules from Boris Johnson have been announced. He will be scrapping the proposed changes to the scheme which were due to take place on the 27th October 2008. This leaves the charge exactly how it has been with residents qualifying for a 90% discount and non residents paying £8 per day.

More importantly, as before all cars that are on the powershift register and LPG converted through Envy Motors are congestion charge exempt.

Certain vehicles are subject to the Congestion Charge if driven within the charging zone between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. Some vehicles qualify for discounts and exemptions. Please email us to find out what vehicles we stock that qualify for 100% exemption.

You do not have to pay the charge on weekends, English public holidays, designated non-charging days, or between 18:00 and 07:00.

All charging days that fall between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day inclusive are designated non-charging days. Vehicles that drive within the zone on or between these dates will not incur the Congestion Charge.
If you pay the charge on the day of travel you pay £8. If you pay the charge on the first charging day after travel you pay £10.
