Smart LPG

Our Smart LPG conversions are undertaken by LPGA approved Garages in London and if required; nationwide. The Smart LPG conversion comprises an under body kit, which means that there is no loss of interior space and the boot is not stuffed with an LPG tank, innovation in the industry has allowed us to use under body space that was previously not possible. 

As the Smart is different in size to many standard LPG conversions, certain parts of the process are unique to the Smart LPG:

• With the Smart For Two, The process involves removing the existing factory fitted petrol tank, replacing it with a 27litre LPG tank, and a custom built 16 litre petrol tank. There is a standard LPG gauge on the dash.
• With the Smart For Four, The process involves removing the spare wheel and using the space for a special 34 litre donut LPG tank. We leave the factory fitted petrol tank alone and place the LPG gauge on the dash.
• The LPG tank is able to cope with extreme temperatures and can sustain far greater impact, than either a petrol or diesel fuel tank. This explains why people happily “cook on gas”
•   The above process takes just 5 working days, Envy Motors provides LPG conversions for existing smart car owners as well as selling new and used Smart LPG’s.

We cannot convert the larger engine models (e.g Brabus) and the other models like the roadster. We can convert the fortwo cabriolet.

New and Used Smart LPG’s

New Vehicles are supplied through Smart UK and are then converted to run on LPG fuel by our LPGA approved conversion specialists.  The cars are then collected clean, fuelled and Congestion Charge free.
Used Smart LPG cars always undergo strict inspection and additional servicing to ensure they are in the best possible condition. Most vehicles are sold with existing warranties in place and we also offer the ability to extend the warranty if required.

 LPG Servicing

An LPG system needs to be kept in tip top condition like any other part of your car, we recommend an annual overhaul by our specialist, it costs just £225 + VAT and takes 5 hours to complete. This includes checking the entire system, plugging in onboard telemetry systems over a 5 miles test drive and monitoring and adjusting all parts of the system.

Smart Car Servicing

The New Smart For Two benefits from only needing a service every two years with an oil change every year.
Envy Motors has a relationship with the Smart of Chiswick.  The dealership is very familiar with the LPG fuel system, so we recommend that our clients approach them first for any OEM smart needs.  Smart of Chiswick will be able to carry out all warranty work as required by all of our customers.
